Ikom/Boki 2023: Hon. Abang Pius Besong appreciates PDP, constituents, delegates for massive support

An aspirant of the People's Democratic Party, PDP for Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency, Hon. Abang Pius Bessong AKA AB Amani Jojo has penned down an appreciation to the party leadership, delegates, and constituents for massive support since he decided for run for the green chambers. 

HON. Abang also urged constituents to stay calm as his stolen mandate will be reclaimed by the grace of God. 

It could be recalled that Hon. Abang rejected the outcome of the primaries for Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency that it was marred with irregularities. 

The returning officer on May 22 declared one of the aspirants, Barr. Attah Ochinke, winner of the Primary Elections with 27 votes. 

According to Mr. Abang Pius Besong, during the accreditation process, seven persons had no means of identification and could not be identified even by people from same ward, but was imposed to the returning officer who was under threat by thugs.

Firstly, I'm very grateful to God almighty for the grace and enablement in the course of offering myself to serve the good people of Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency. 

My undiluted gratitude goes to the Leadership of PDP in the State and also to Distinguished Senator(Prof) Sandy Ojang Onor the incoming Governor of Cross River State and the proactive Director-General of Caterpillar movement, Hon Joe Obi Bisong for the fatherly role in providing the platform for us to showcase what we represent as a brand. 

I profoundly appreciate ward Excos across the 22 wards of Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency for their commitment to the race, if not prior to the new electoral bill amendment which didn't set in, our winning could have been resounding. And to the adhoc delegates for the magnanimity of their votes within a very short time frame. Their willingness to embrace my ambition to change the narratives for the betterment of our society is well acknowledged.

Posterity will not forgive me, if I fail to appreciate the leaders of Ikom/Boki for their fairness and allegiance. 

Also, we won't forget to appreciate the industrious youths of Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency especially the Iso-Bendeghe youths for trusting and believing in my dream.

This message will be inconclusive and unfair if I fail to thank members of the G7 and CB16 group for their wonderful and unrelenting solidarity towards this project in order to change the status quo. 

Finally, I appeal to my dauntless supporters and associates across the Constituency to remain calm as the stolen mandate will be reclaimed by the special grace of God.
