Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has charged his Deputy, Mr Peter Odey to serve the state with unwavering spirit and commitment to make a difference in the lives of their people.

He made the charge in his felicitation message to Odey as he marked his 49th birthday anniversary Friday.

Otu described Odey’s dedication and loyalty in their joint cause as incredible, his passion for the people of the state shines through in every of his actions.

Otu, on his verified twitter handle, expressed happiness that he has such a young man as his partner who has the same vision of greatness for the state.

“I am grateful to have you as my partner in governing our beloved state. Together, we’ll work tirelessly to create positive change and improve the lives of our fellow Cross Riverians.

“Your unwavering passion and leadership qualities have already made a significant impact and I don’t doubt that our administration will flourish under your guidance.

“Let us continue to serve our state with integrity, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to the betterment of our people. Together, we’ll make a difference. ”

On his part, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Senator-elect Eteng Jonas Williams said he was happy to work with Odey who was the majority leader in the assembly before being sworn in as deputy governor of the state.
