A fuel tanker and a truck have collided at Harbor junction, Calabar, Cross River State leaving the truck driver trapped in his stirring seat.
The accident which occurred few minutes ago according to eyewitness said the truck was coming from 8 Miles axis when the tanker zoomed out from Harbor on speed.
The condemned truck head has the dark looking driver whose “conductor” jumped out at first, screaming for help with three trucks of fire fighters arriving the scene to rescue the situation.
After more than 30 minutes trying to detach the heavy duty vehicles from each other, youths dived in to pull the driver whose legs are trapped.
At the time of filing this report, he was rushed to the hospital as security operative were on ground to control crowd but could not stop those scooping Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as fuel.
