Full List of Successful Cross Riverians Chosen For Federal Teachers’ Scheme (FTS) 2020

The Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC has today, Monday 12, 2020, released the full lists of successful candidates that applied for the Federal 2020 Teachers’ Scheme (FTS).

The UBEC in collaboration with the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has shortlisted candidates for FTS screening in all the 36 states of the Federation.

Though SUBEBs will send SMS to shortlisted Applicants from their various state, but you can still check your name by following the instructions below. Please read till the end.

The Federal Teachers’ Scheme was established in 2006 as part of the Federal Government’s intervention to assure quality basic education delivery in Nigeria. The Scheme recruits unemployed holders of the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) for a two – year teaching service in public basic education schools (ECCDE, primary and junior secondary).

The objectives of the scheme include the following:-

(i). Assisting States to reduce shortage of teacher requirement for the success of the UBE programme;

(ii). Exposing young NCE graduates to full practical experience in their chosen career;

(iii). Ensuring qualitative education of candidates in the UBE programme; and

(iv). Providing employment to NCE graduates.

(v). Structure

The Unit is headed by a National Coordinator who is assisted by staff deployed from other Departments in the Commission. The Scheme is implemented using the existing UBEC structure (Headquarters, Zonal and State Offices). The Commission works closely with the SUBEBs, through a designated Desk Officer, appointed by each Board. The Desk Officer oversees the day to day implementation of the Scheme at the State level.

HOW TO CHECK IF YOU ARE SELECTED FOR THE 2020 FEDERAL TEACHERS’ SCHEME 2020:

1. To check if you are selected, click on the link: https://fts.admissions.cloud/home

2. Enter the username (or email address) and password you used in registering and click on the “Login” button.

3. Your status will be displayed on the screen. If you’re selected/successful, you’ll need to proceed for the next step which is the physical verification/screening. This will take place in the SUBEB offices in your state of application.
