Carnival Calabar and Festival team meets with the Honourable Commissioner for Health on a Covid-19 protocol complaint festival. 

The team led by the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor and Chairman of the Calabar Carnival and Festival Committee, Hon Ken Aklah had far reaching discussions with the commissioner.

On her part, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Betta Edu reassured the team that a well tailored festival in compliance with covid-19 protocols is achievable. Saying the Ministry and the Covid19 Taskforce will give all the necessary support for the implementation of yet another Cross River model that will be worthy of emulation.


The meeting had in attendance, the Executive Secretary of the Carnival Commission, Hon Austin Cobham,  the Snr Special Assistant on Tourism and the State's marketing consultant, Mr. Agweye  Emmanuel of PIS-Limited among others.
