School resumption in Cross River State has been shifted.

BBC Pidgin reports that the state has postponed the resumption of schools till further notice.

The state has, however, not issued any official statement to that effect on its Facebook page.

The state had scheduled a trial resumption of some section of schools by June 16, while given students and teachers personal protective equipment (PPE).

However, the Covid-19 Presidential Task Force had on Monday, advised that it was not safe to reopen schools.

PTF, urged sub-nationals or state governments to tread with caution as the pandemic was very much around.
