The Director General  National Center for Women Development (NCWD), Barr. Mrs. Mary Ekpere-Eta have received an Award of recognition from the Nigeria Festival of Awards forum in Abuja.

The forum which is meant to honour Africans who have contributed immensely towards the standardization of all activities within Nigeria and Africa continent at large, had no choice than to honour the amiable DG for her good works.

According to a Facebook User, Miriam Obi, who made an update on this says "the award is in recognition of her outstanding role as an active Woman with a magnificent experience in matters of Women Development/Empowerment. The event took place today (11th November 2018) at the Sheraton Hotel Abuja".

In her remarks, the DG expressed her thanks to the organizers for recognizing her contributions to the development of Nigerian Women, she also expressed her gratitude to the management staff and every member of the NCWD for supporting all her initiatives, and ultimately she dedicated the award to the "Girl Child".
