Hon. Itam Abang has just been confirmed as the official flag bearer of the 2019 Cross River State House of Assembly for Boki 1 Constituency.

 This is coming weeks after rumours emerged that the Hon. Itam Abang's name had been replaced with that of Hon. Bette Obi as the PDP's flag bearer to run for the Boki 1 state constituency.

 It was also allegedly said that the Party needed someone that can standout the opponent of the All Progressive Congress, APC and maintaining the dominance of the party in the state.

Prior to all this drama, and with the final release of names by INEC, Itam Abang has reclaimed her mandate earlier affirmed by the party. 
She is now certified to go into the race in 2019.
