Boki Local Government Politics - Curbing the Imminent Turbulence

As days draw nearer for the decision of who to win what and where what is won, the atmosphere is gradually taking a tsunamic disposition. There's an uncommon desperation whirling around aspirants of various positions and their supporters, propelling very disgraceful, unprecedented quarrels, threats, name calling and what-have-you. This however is as a result of the numerous crisis recorded in the past months and of course, sycophancy and the natural display of politics of superficial bitterness by aggrieved enemies which transcends to their passionate supporters.

Arguments have arose about credibility, competence and other parameters use in evaluating the goodness or badness of aspirants and the intimeousness of aspirations as regards Boki Constituency 1 House of Assembly seat going to Eastern Boki and Constituency 11 seat staying in Osokom 1, Ekpashi ward for another term and Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency which many prominent Boki politicians and political analysts think it's a wild goose chase for the Boki aspirants. Consequently, Boki have lost three very strategic offices in the State Executive Council and two other for this particular ambition. All these are currently dragging breathe from truth and false, right and wrong, happiness and sadness.

Nevertheless, it is pertinent to state here that, no man's ambition is worth the lives and properties of anyone especially the defenseless Boki constituents who alleluia to God, many are now aware of the deceptive strategies improvised to win elections and are ready to say "NO" to unconvincing questionable aspirants. Allow them bear the grassroot burden of their aspiration, the ignominy of defeat and see how invaluable you are. These are People who after elections, disappear into thin air only to reappear during another election to tell us stories of what is and what's not.

When supporters engage in showing might of fist and weapons, they jump into their tinted vehicles and zoom off, they won't drag you in, they will leave you in the blissful pain of your sycophancy. Praise God if you'd be alive to tell the story. They will not call you to order now that handshake has not gone beyond the elbow. Tongue lashing of enemies and opponents excites them. A "doomic" excitement because they know where they meet themselves and when to reconcile.

Dearest Boki indigens particularly the poor passionate ones in politics, let there be a limit to how you support your choice aspirant. Your enemy is not your fellow masses, your enemy is that big man or woman who will Use you to rob and destroy yourself for them to sail to the top.
