Former Nigerian international, Mutiu Adepoju has revealed that it will be very difficult to predict how far the Super Eagles will go at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Adepoju made this known on the backdrop of the team’s impressive 6-0 win over Sao Tome in Sunday’s AFCON qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
A hat trick from Victor Osimhen and goals from Ademola Lookman, Taiwo Awoniyi and Samuel Chukwueze dispatched the Central African side with ease.
However, in a chat with Completesports, Adepoju stated that it will be difficult to predict where the Super Eagles and other teams will finish at the tournament in Ivory Coast.
“It is very difficult to say how far the team can go at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. But from what we have seen, I think we have a very good players that make things work.
“Besides, their performances in their various clubs and ambition will also go a long way to show the team readiness. But then, it will be very difficult for anyone to determine where any team will get to at the tournament.”
