As part of activities to commemorate this year's birthday celebration, the Director General Timber Control(Cross River Central), Hon Abang Pius Besong and members of his team, has visited Holy family general hospital and Abundant Love orphanage home both in Ikom LGA to mark the epoch occasion of his birth anniversary with the orphans and the sick. Hon Abang who was live at the event, paid off medical bills of patients at the hospital and donated foodstuffs & other gift items to the orphanage home.
In the same vein, Hon Abang and his entourage visited the Ikom correctional center(Prison), interacted with the inmates and donated food items and materials while encouraging them to be positive in serving their jail term or awaiting trials.
He further stated that gifts and other food items were distributed to meet the needs of the less privilege as he is christened to be the Governor of a common man due to ceaseless philanthropic gestures.
Responding at the scene, the beneficiaries thanked Hon Abang for his care and show of love to the children and the needy, praying that God should grant him long life, prosperity and more blessings.
