The Classroom Comprehensive Abortion Care was a 5days training held on the 15th through the 19th day of May, 2023. The exercise was aimed at building the capacity of a critical mass of healthcare workers from selected secondary and primary health facilities across the 3 senatorial zones.
The Director General of the CRSPHCDA Deaconess Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong in her opening remarks charged participants to put in their best all through the exercise stating that the knowledge gained during the training will help add value in promoting the growth and development of the health sector. "The knowledge, skills and competencies of the trained healthcare workers in PAC will be compared with the healthcare workers trained during the OJT." She added.
Dr. Samuel Oyeniyi, Head of Safe Motherhood of the Federal Ministry of Health was in attendance and gave the opening remarks where he thanked all participants as well as the organizers of the exercise reassuring participants that knowledge gained here will be of immense benefit to participants and the growth of the health sector.
Also in attendance was Dr. Lucky Palmer, Country Director of Ipas Nigeria, Dr. Jonas Offor Director of Public Health, Mrs Nsa Ekpenyong, Focal Person for Reproductive Health Ministry of Health amongst other dignitaries.
