The All Progressive Congress National Women Leader, Dr Betta Edu on Monday accompanied the Cross River State APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu to consult the Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V in his Palace.
The Woman Leader who went with other Party faithfuls including some Political Stalwart, Members of the Prince Otu Campaign Organization, stakeholders and leadership of the party in the State used the opportunity to appeal to the Obong and his Etubom council to lend their support to the APC Candidate comes February 2023.
Dr Edu who spoke with journalist immediately before heading to the airport called on the good people of Cross River to come out en masse and ensure Senator Prince Bassey Otu was voted in as Governor of Cross River State comes Next Year.
According to her the project should be seen beyond primordial sentiments as this was the only time the people of Southern Senatorial District and even beyond to create a mark on the political landscape of Cross River State with large voting margin and mass mobilisation of voters that will come out from Southern Senatorial District and beyond.
The Woman Leader noted that Support for Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu is also a support for all APC Candidates in the Southern Senatorial District and across the State.
She eulogized the Obong of Calabar as a supportive first class traditional ruler who was very supportive to her while serving as Commissioner For Health and DG Primary Healthcare respectively.
