The President General of Boki Christian Association, and Boki District secretary of Assemblies Of God Nigeria, Rev. Eleazar Otuson has urged Christians as well as the Boki people to remember their God with first fruits while preparing for the August 18th new yam festival celebrations.

Otuson made this known in a Facebook post on Wednesday saying the Boki Nation is specially blessed of God and the New Yam Festival is an annual celebration of one of God's blessing.

The post titled "THE BOKI FIRST FRUIT (NEW YAM) FESTIVAL" reads;

The Boki Nation is specially blessed of God and the New Yam Festival is an annual celebration of one of God's blessings (New Yam)

As we celebrate this year's blessings, it is important that I bring to your understanding as Pastors, priests, Christians and citizens of Boki LG, the need to honor this God with our first fruits as a springboard to greater blessings.

"Honor the Lord with your substance; and with the firstfruit of all your increase: so shall your storehouses be filled with plenty" (Proverbs 3:9, 10).

To this effect, I employ you to take some Yams to Church, first thing in the morning,  to give praise and thanks to God who have blessed us. Add a Thanksgiving offering if you can, and ask Him for increase in the year t come.

The Otuson's, wish you all a happy, peacefully and loving FIRST FRUIT FESTIVAL 2022. God bless the Boki Nation.
