The Government of Cross River has warned against creating tension in the State.
“The leadership of the Hausa/Fulani community must report to the State Government any illegal activities around its environs.”
On his part, the Special Adviser to Governor Ayade on Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Adoga Ifop reiterated that on no account should the Hausa/Fulani community issue a chieftaincy title in the State as it is not their responsibility.
The leaders representing the Hausa/Fulani Muslim community in the State Alhaji Garba Lawan, the Chief Imam Kabeer Olowdayemi, and other leaders of the Hausa/Fulani community accepted to continue to abide by the laws and not interrupt the peace of the land and also pledged to tender an apology to Cross Riverians.
