Men of the 13 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Cross River State have started to conduct roadblocks, mobile patrols, riverine patrols, crowd dispersal as well as cordon and search to tackle insecurity.

Commander of the brigade, Brigadier General Peter Malla, disclosed this on Tuesday at the flag-off of ‘Exercise Still Water’ at Ikang in Bakassi Local Government Area, which he said will last from October to December.

Malla said they will also provide VIP protection, guard key and vulnerable points, and carry out escort duties, rescue operations and raids to contain criminals.
