The Senate, on Tuesday, rejected the confirmation of Lauretta Onochie as a National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had nominated Lauretta Onochie, who is widely known to be a member of the All Progressives Congress, to take over from Mahmoud Yakubu as the new INEC commissioner.

According to reports reaching Boki Blog, The Senate caved into the pressure placed by citizens on them.
