Dr Ekpenyong Urges Christians to reflect on the significance of Easter

The Director General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Janet Ekpenyong has urged Christians to reflect on the biblical Significance of Easter which entails love , sacrifice and peace.

The DG noted that, while Jesus Christ paid the ultimate sacrifice by dying on the Cross for mankind, today's Christians can emulate the gesture by offering their neighbors a shoulder to lean on in times of trouble, tribulations and persecution.

She used the opportunity to call on all Health workers to remain dogged in ensuring they deliver on their mandates by showing care to patients and fulfilling all set rules of their engagement into service which for sure replicate the unconditional love Jesus showed unto the world.

She further Felicitated with the Governor, senator Ben Ayade, his wife, Dr Linda Ayade, the deputy governor and his family, the speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly and members of the legislative arm of government, as well as members of the state Executive Council.

"As we celebrate Easter today, it's another opportunity to reflect on the value we place on people matching it with the ultimate sacrifice Jesus Christ made by dying on the Cross.

It is a time to take stock of the way we relate with those around us and by so doing , we all can contribute in making the world a better place.

I want to celebrate and commend all my health workers for their genuineness and passion in which they have shown to our people all through the pandemic, it is worthy of praise and with pride I must say " there is no greater love than this".

But while we tend to serve humanity, we should be conscious of the ethics of the job and good conduct as health workers, we must remember that it's in protecting ourselves that we can protect others too, therefore I urge you all to remember all safety guidelines especially as we are still battling the pandemic(Covid19).

On behalf of my family, management and staff of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, I wish to extend my best wishes to the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Senator Ben Ayade, his dear wife, Dr Linda Ayade , the deputy Governor, Professor Ivara Esu and his beloved wife, the Speaker of the House of Assembly and member of the legislative arm of Government, and all members of the state Executive Council.
