The Executive Chairman of Boki Local Government Area, Hon. (Pastor) John Ewa have called on the Boki People, especially Youths to drop their weapons and work in solidarity to rebuild the Boki Nation.
Hon. Ewa who spoke to News Reporters on Monday 8th June 2020 at the Boki LG Council Headquarters in Boje, said it's time to come back as the Boki of old because we have fallen for a very long time.
According to Pastor Ewa while advising the Boki people; “Its time to drop our guns, it's time to drop our cultlasses. Bill Clinton said let's Speak only words that heal not those that'll make wounds or hurt. So it's time, we have fallen off, we have done the wrong things for a very long time. It's time to come back”. He said
“My father was the first Paramount ruler of Boki, and I saw the glorious days of Boki, the days of unity; days where Boki love and embrace themselves, there was unity, there was Cooperation and we were the envy of the State”. He added
“But today, the younger generation has damaged and ruined all this achievements, so my plea to the Boki Nation, to our parents, and the Youths, because people say the problem is not the adult, is the youths. All violent related issues are mostly the youths, not adults.
“How many adults are in secret cult? 99% secret cult members are youths, even when there is Communal war, 99% percent are Youths. They'll always take guns to kill themeselves”. He continued
“So my appeal is that, if Boki People love me as the whole world have seen, and as they have demonstrated, please let's come out and drop our weapons and work as brothers and sisters to rebuild the Boki Nation” — he concluded
