Health facilities accross the State have received PPEs including Face masks, Hand gloves, sanitizers and Hand washing buckets with stands to aid in protection of Health Care Workers against a possible outbreak of Covid-19 in the State.

The Commissioner  for International Development Cooperation, Dr. Inyang Asibong who recieved the items from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) on behalf of the State Government thanked the organization for their continuous support, and assured the organisation of the State's commitment to the health and wellbeing of it's citizens. 

The Head of Office, UNFPA CRS, Mr Keneth Ehouzou complimented the State Government on it's effort so far in the fight against COVID-19 and assured of the  commitment of the UN to this cause.

Also present at the event were Dr. Etim Ayi of GH Calabar, Mrs Christy Aye of MIDC and Mr. Aliyu Yakubu from UNFPA.

The items  will be further distributed to Primary and Secondary health facilities in the State by the CR State Health team.
