The Executive Chairman of Boki Local Government Area, Hon. (Pastor) John Ewa has revealed some key Agendas his administration will attempt to accomplish in the next 3 years of Office.
Pastor Ewa disclosed this to News men at the LG Council Headquarters in Boje after a brief meeting with Party Stakeholders on Monday June 8th 2020.
Analyzing the things he hopes to achieve, Pastor Ewa says pursuing peace is the greatest thing in his heart.
He said; “As we all know the resources available to me to work with, I would love to see an improvement in our health system. You know Boki doesn't have General Hospital, and we don't even have functional Health centers, so I'll love to see some health centres upgraded to the level that we can have Doctors who will visit this health centres, so people can consult and also attend to the health needs of people.
“The other thing I would like to see in Boki is ICT for our youths, just cannot do anything today if you're not a computer literate. So I want a situation where our young people who are out of secondary School, the young graduates can have to get some form of computer literacy so they can be equipped to face life outside here and possibly we see how we can support our youths, if there's resources, we should come to a day where we offer some people scholarships.
“You know I have said before that Boki is one of the most strategic in terms of Agriculture, so what can we do for our Farmers who don't have any other form of gain from the government, we need to help them improve their farming practices, help them access some grants and loans just to improve their farming. In Nigeria, it's the very poor that feeds the very rich. A greater percentage of food we eat in Nigeria are grown by this poor Farmers.
“We should likewise concentrate how we can work our roads, maybe at least grade them. We also call on the State government, other Organizations, to come and help improve the condition of our roads.
