The Special Adviser (ANTI-CULTISM) to the Cross River State Govenor, Senator Ben Ayade, Apst. Steve Umoh has revealed plans to emabrk on sensitization programs and skills acquisition programs across the state to stop the tide of young people joining violent gangs.

The Governor’s aide who revealed this while speaking to Naijavoice, added that he has commenced his pet oroject – “PEACEFUL CROSS RIVER STATE” With visitations to notable stakeholders, religious groups, royal fathers and security outfits to solicit For greater awareness and cooperation with government moves to resstore peace and quell down cult activities.

To enhance this mission, Umoh said his office has kicked off sensitization Of churches within the metropolis and concurrently in other local government areas.

Umoh also revealed that skills ttaining on motor mechanic, driving, generator repairs, air-conditioner and refrigerator repairs have commenced for youths, with the first batch from Calabar South & Calabar Municipality.

However Apst. Steve has reached out to political office holders to grab this opportunity and assist in empowering their youths through this scheme.
