The Governor of Cross river State, His Excellency, Senator Prof. Sir Ben Ayade, has ordered strict compliance with directive to all heads of government agencies to furnish necessary information that will assist the Office of Prosecution & Asset Recovery to succeed on its mandate to recover the government unlawful claimed asset's by persons and institutions.

This release was affirmed and undersigned by Chief (Barr.) Ewah A. Obi,  Special Adviser to the Governor on Prosecution & Assets Recovery in REF.GOCRS/OPRA/01/VOL11/20 as dated, February 03, 2020, on his request for more authorize information to reclaim the state asset's as its reads;

The Secretary to the State Government
The Head of Service
The Chief of Staff to the Governor
All Chairmen of Commissions and Boards
All Heads of MDAs and Permanent Secretaries
The Clerk of the House of Assembly
The Chief Registrar, CRS High Court
The Accountant General
The Auditors General (State & Local Government)
The Head of personal Staff to the Deputy Governor


RECOVERY OF GOVERNMENT ASSET'S FROM UNLAWFUL PERSONS, REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

This office has commenced the immediate recovery of government assets presently from unauthorized persons and institutions. Consequently, all MDAs are by this circular requested to cooperate fully by favouring relevant information in respect of government properties that are being held by unauthorized persons or establishments.

For avoidance of doubt, His Excellency, Senator Prof. Sir Ben Ayade, the governor of Cross River State, has ordered strict compliance with this directives by heads of government agencies. In effects, Head of MDAs who may be found suppressing or hiding necessary information that will assist this office to succeed in its mandate shall be sanctioned for complicity.

All Chief Executive of MDAs are by this notice kindly requested to forward to the undersigned, their comprehensive list of government properties not found vis-a-vis their respective hand over notes, giving details of their nature and contact addresses off their possible identified locations. 

Note equally that this office shall equally conducts its own investigation as to cross check with the information supplied by the relevant MDAs.

The properties envisaged within the context shall include but not limited to the following: Vehicles, funds/securities, furniture's, House, computer accessories, land (developed or undeveloped) etc

Also this office is mandated to recover all funds due and owned to government of it Agencies such as advances paid for failed contracts, unpaid monies for plots of land allocated to government officials/Appointees (whether still serving or not), Outstanding bills for services provided by government agencies like Water Board, CROSPIL, credit facilities given to farmers by MEDA and unremitted funds due to government from all revenue generating agencies.

Chief Executives of MDAs are kindly requested to accord this circular, the widest publicity.
