The Secretary designate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Reconciliation Committee (NRC), Senator John Owan Enoh has said that he is ready for reconciliation in the Cross River State chapter of the party and across the country.
Senator Enoh, who spoke to journalists in Abuja on his appointment, said he had started the process of reconciliation in Cross River State APC before his appointment as the NRC Secretary.
According to him, the Cross River State APC would be a great beneficiary of APC reconciliation move should it key into it. Senator Enoh, who was a factional APC governorship candidate in Cross River State in the last election, posited that it was the crisis of who was the party’s candidate that robbed them of victory in the governorship election in the state.
According to him, many Cross River politicians were willing to join APC should the members embrace peace. Asked to comment on the criticisms against the chairman designate of the Reconciliation Committee, Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan by the Edo State APC, Enoh said every politician has a lining but every worthy politician does not allow his lining to affect his political carrier.
He assured members of the APC that the Committee was made up of men of integrity with high party affliction, who would any day sacrifice for the unity of the party. The APC national Working Committee had last year set up a 10-member NRC for the party on the recommendations of the Caucus of the party
