Morning fire Outbreak Razes 3 Buildings at Okundi, Destroy Properties

Not less than three buildings have been affected including popular Channel12 Bar and properties worth thousands of naira were destroyed this morning to a fire outbreak at City boys Street, Boki LGA of Cross River State. 

There was pandemonium as smoke suddenly covered the air from the compound made up of residential buildings, a bar, and lockup stores.

The fire with billowing smoke were coming from some of the rooms, which made it difficult for neighbours who wanted to render assistance to stop the fire as they kept pouring lots of water and beating a retreat with the raging inferno.

Thank God it was a market day, as there were many hands to assist the affected families quench the fire. The hearts of the owners of buildings on either side jumped up their chest into their mouths as they helplessly watched the smoke go up into the sky while the fire kept spreading.

Prior to the arrival of fire young men who tried to help, some of the bold sympathisers that besieged the scene dared took the risk to put out the fire though with little success.

The fire outbreak which began from a living house where Palm oil were stored left no casualties, but that property yet to be estimated were lost to the fire outbreak.
