Finally It's Our Second Anniversary! It's been 2 Years Since We Had The Dream, and of course the dream has always been about YOU!
IT IS ONE THING TO SAY WE HAVE A DREAM. IT IS ANOTHER THING TO SEE OUR DREAM COME TO LIFE.
The Dream of Boki Blog came true because we had the courage to pursue them, ultimately because we had your support and encouragement.
One of our biggest dreams came to existence TWO years ago today when we took the step of reaching the world from a single platform which has emanated into something we're all proud of.
To be able to remove ourselves from our comfort zone and pursue a dream we never believed will workout was probably the most terrifying yet exhilarating experience of our . You don't truly feel alive until you get that initial rush of adrenaline through your system.
Existence.
Looking back on the past TWO years, we can proudly beat up our chest and say YES we have achieved a lot. How we built something from nothing. How we've have been able to promote the Boki and Culture as well as the impact we have made in Cross River State and Nigeria.
Bringing Boki people all over the world together was our greatest achievement! And we're happy we took the bold step.
Through our promotion, Boki was recognized as the top 5 LGAs to get quality palm oil by Morning Fresh Nigeria.
In April 2019, following our commitment to build a better Boki and curb the Unemployment amongst youths and revive the economic well-being of our nation, we organized the first edition of Boki Business Conference to train young Boki people on high class skills and to educate them on started and running a successful business.
WE WANTED TO SOLVE A NEED
The History of Boki Blog could be traced back to October 2017, during a school demonstration and parade to mark a Hand-wash-day celebration.
The Idea emanated from a conversation between two young, vibrant Boki youths who witnessed the colourful event. believing its one of the best in Boki, one of them exclaimed; "Imagine something like this is going on in Boki, yet no one will know about it outside here!"
At this point, they both flashed back to similar events which hosted in Boki but ended silently due to no information reportage.
"Could this be why people feel Boki is backward?" One of them asked the other. They both thought for a while as they excitingly watched few activities at the event.
"Let's start a blog to report latest news and happenings in Boki!" One of them suggested. After much deliberation and strategic thinking they both agreed to start a blog calling it 'Boki Blog'.
The main vision of Boki Blog (www.bokiblog.com.ng) was to:
1. Report news/happenings about (or related to) Boki.
2. Change the world's perspectives about the Boki Nation
3. Promote the Boki people and culture.
So far, we can proudly say we've delivered. At least we have received several commendations, and criticism likewise. Criticisms that have challenged us to work harder.
Counting till today, we're going statewide as we hope to grow into a strong media base in Cross River State and Nigeria.
Like they say in movies...."If you build it, they will come" BEST. DECISION. EVER.
We built it! And it's however the best decision ever.
On this day last year! We visited Sick Patients across Hospitals and Clinics In Boki with gifts in celebration our first anniversary.
Thank you to all our family and friends for believing in us and supporting us. Thanks for accepting us. We're forever grateful to you all.
As we look forward to year THREE. Lots of big things are on the horizon and we can't wait to bring it into limelight.
