Our dear people of Boki,
Tuesday 22nd October 2019 will always remain a very sad day for us. A day 7 young men were murdered in cold blood at home. We condemn in very strong terms, the barbaric killings in the early ours on 22nd October 2019 in Okundi, Boki, which have reawakened tension thereby threatening our cherished peace and security.
It is not only painful but a shame that brothers would unleash terror on themselves.
I, therefore, use this medium to condole the families whose loved ones were killed in this ugly tragedy. I humbly appeal to all of us to exercise the utmost restraint in our efforts to manage and resolve our grievances through peaceful means using acceptable mechanism.
We, equally call on the State Government and all security agencies, to help bring the perpetrators and their collaborators to speedy justice and also look at the issue of criminality not only in Boki, but in the state as a whole.
