Today at the Government House, Cross River State Deputy Governor, Professor Ivara Esu, directed all Permanent Secretaries to take charge of their Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and assume full responsibility.

The Deputy Governor stated this (today) during a meeting with the permanent Secretaries at the executive council chambers of the Governors Office in Calabar.

Professor Ivara Esu stated that, the absence of Commissioners and Special Advisers from MDAs shouldn't hinder the smooth running and rendering of services to Cross Riverians.

"With immediate effect every Permanent Secretary should take charge of their respective ministries and ensure that the ministry's structure is put in place so as to enable whoever that is being appointed a commissioner, to have a smooth takeoff on resumption." The Deputy said.
