Mr. Odok shared in his message a brief biography of the Priest. 

Below is the message as penned down by Mr. Odok;

"June 27 is remarkable because today, Rev. Fr. Bob Etta clocks 49 in good health, service to humanity and divine providence in God's vineyard.


Born 27th June 1970 at Maternity Hospital Moniaya Ogoja, to Family of Late Sir/Lady Peter E. Etta, Teacher and Nurse, from a family of 7 siblings.


Fr. Etta had his secondaey school education at the prestigious Mary Knoll College Okuku and later proceeded to Bigard Memorial Seminary Ikot Ekpene for Philosophical Studies.


Thereafter, he spent another four years in Bigard Memorial Seminary Enugu for Theological studies. As a man called to serve in the Lord's vineyard, Fr. Etta was ordained a Catholic Priest by Most Rev. Joseph E. Ukpo in July 1995.

He worked in the Chancery with the then Bishop Ukpo as an Administrator for 10 years, combining with been the Parish Priest of the Old Corpus Christi Parish Ohong (which gave birth to the Parishes in Utugwang, Alege, ipong and Bedia).


Thereafter, he was sent to the United States of America for Mission and Studies.


In his service to humanity, Etta belief life is meaningful when you lived for others in service to God and humanity. He is a man in love with his priesthood and wont trade it for anything. He is well travelled and widely exposed. He was called to serve as a Special Adviser to Gov. Ayade on Religious Matters, a position he used to unite the Christian community on the need for peaceful co-existence, tolerance, peace and love. 


Though not born or brought up at home, he loves the Boki nation and has contributed greatly to the peace and development of Boki. He is committed to work with others to move Boki forward at all times.


Dear Father Etta, i thank God for giving you knowledge and wisdom of understanding. Your sermons are so touching and have inspired many of us in the church to always strive hard to do the will of God no matter how little. Padre, as you mark your birthday, i wish you good health, happiness, and lots of beautiful things in this world.


Thank you for your concern over our spiritual life. You are an exemplary and visionary church leader who has dedicated his life in winning more souls into the kingdom of God. Your messages are always supported by good Bible quotations and are clear and understandable to the congregation. As you celebrate your special day, may the Lord shower you with more grace and blessings!
