In an audience with Ecobank’s high management, Nigerian president Muhamadu Buhari invited the pan-African group to support the creation of an agriculture fund in the country.

According to the president, the bank’s support to the agriculture sector and to SMEs would generate economic activities in the country. “If assets and resources available to Nigeria were properly managed, she would be prosperous and peaceful,” president Buhari said.
Ecobank group’s managing director Ade Adeyemi initiated a tour in some of the African countries where his group’s subsidiaries are located. During the tour, he was also received by the new prime minister in Cameroon, well-informed sources reveal. According to the sources, during the meeting, the prime minister and the executive discussed the group's commitments towards the government.
