The Barr. Paulina Kaka Nyiam Boki II Female Football Competition had successfully come to an end on Monday, with Queens United of Kakwagom emerging champions of the competition after beating Young Angels of Bansan (4-3) in a penalty shootout.

The grand finale of the competition which took place at Boki Comprehensive Secondary School (Boki Boys) Okundi in Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State saw quality football talents and skillful display in the entire minutes of play.

The kickoff for the final football fiesta which was taken by the Organizer, Barr. Paulina Kaka Nyiam, Candidate of The All Progressive Congress for Boki II State House of Assembly attracted dignitaries from the political and traditional arena as well as sport enthusiasts.

In the keenly played Queens United of Kakwagom dressed in red jersey displayed a great comeback after being being defeated 0-1 in the first having, equalized in the second half with more pressure on the goal post but could not convert many goal scoring chances against the Young Angels of Bansan.

However, The Queens United which have been displaying great performances in the tournament was able to beat the Young Angels in a penalty shootout and emerging winners of the competition.


The Boki 2 Female Football Competition was organized to engage the female youths in sporting activities in order to discover new talents and develop grassroots football.

The Barr. Paulina Kaka Nyiam awarded some talents discovered in the competition with free scholarships and lots of other packages adding that the competition would also promote friendship and brotherhood as all the teams were representing the various communities in Boki II State Constituency.

The Donor, charged youths to redirect their energies into productive ventures noting that their destines were in their hands and should engage in educational pursuit and sports development which were key to their emancipation.

The highpoint was the presentation of trophy to the champion of the competition Queens United of Kakwagom with N50,000 naira cash price, the first runner Young Angels of Bansan received thirty thousand naira cash while the third place winner Golden Stars of Nkim got twenty thousand naira cash.

The Awesome Goal Keeper of Queens United grabbed the Best Keeper Award, Nku cicielia of Agba emerged the best Player while the highest goal scorer in the competition was Otu Agnes of the Golden Stars of Nkim and were given amazing awards.

According to the chairman of the event, the victory of today's competition will repeat itself with the victory of the APC in 2019. He advised that more competitions like this will come up even for the males if everyone should cast their votes to APC, Barr Paulina Kaka Nyiam come 2019.
