The efforts of Pathfinder Special Reconciliation and Integration committee as to reconcile all aggrieved members, of the PDP in Cross River,  has started to yield positive dividends, as some of the members have promised  for the reelection of Governor Ben Ayade and the party in the 2019 polls.



Leading some members of the committee to the homes of some of the aggrieved members, Chairman of the committee, Hon Kenneth Aklaàh, said we are one united family in Cross River state and we are reaching out to members of the party who are strong foot soldiers to reconcile them in the interest of our great party.



Aklaah, who spoke when members of the committee visited the secretary to the state government, Tina Banku Agbor in her home said the emergence of the special reconciliation committee is to heal the wound suffered from the rancour of the last primaries where some party members were not happy.


In His words:"we are committed to boldly addressing this issue while charging the SSG as a senior official of this government to forgive and forget her anger and return to duties with the sole aim of re-electing governor Ayade  back to power in 2019".



"It would be embarrassing if because of your anger you work against the interest of PDP at your different areas." He added.

To this end, he urged her to come out of her retirement so that they would work for the reelection of Governor Ben Ayade and the party in the coming elections.



In her response, Tina banku Agbor thanked the committee for the initiative and assured the team of her best support for the governorship elections and the party.

Also speaking when the committee visited him, Jones Tamgban, who was DG of Chris Agara's campaign organisation thanked the committee for the visit.



He noted that "we are one big family and it is better to forgive your friend. We are  all together, l love Ayade, this is the time to show him we really love him. It is the greatest sacrifice that we can make in spirit of true friendship and total loyalty."

In addition, he assured that no member of their group will leave the party.




The exercise is still ongoing as the committee has promised to work tirelessly and assiduously to ensure that every aggrieved member is reached out.

Recall that earlier it was reported in the news that in view of 2019, the Pathfinder Group was set up as special committee to reconcile aggrieved PDP members in Cross River.



Reports had it that, determined to ensure a united Peoples Democratic Party,(PDP), in the state, that would guarantee smooth reelection of Governor Ben Ayade in 2019 elections, Pathfinder, one of the foremost support groups in the state, has set up a Special Reconciliation and Integration committee to reconcile all aggrieved members in Cross River.



The committee, chaired by  Hon Kenneth Aklaàh has part of its mandate  to identify all aggrieved members of the PDP in Cross River State.



In addition, the special committee is  to mobilise aggrieved members for the purpose of reintegration in PDP and  strengthen  the dedication and support of all PDP members in the March to 2019 elections.



The Ken Aklaah led committee is to advise the State Leadership of the PDP on appropriate reconciliation  as it may be necessary.



The committee which was set up in the Pathfinder Group meeting of Monday, 15/10/2018, held its  inaugural meeting today, Wednesday,  17/10/2018 and identified names of aggrieved members of the PDP across the State.



To this end,  in line with the mandate of the committee,  a robust plan of action has been put in place, in order to discharge it's responsibility within the shortest time.

The Committee enjoined members of the PDP family in the State to be steadfast and continue in the dedication and support to the PDP and the success of His Excellency, Senator Prof Ben Ayade's administration in Cross River State.



Other members of the committee include Rev Fr Bob Etta, Prof. Godwin Igile, Rt Hon. Itaya Nyong, Chief Eugene Akeh and Hon Oqua Edet Oqua.



Engr Mike Eraye,Barr. Tina Agbor, Hon Elizabeth Ironbar,Mrs Stella Odey, and Emmanuel Anoh are also members of the special committee.
