Hon. Victor Bisong Abang, a.k.a 'Mature' is a household name in the politics of Cross River State. He is a stalwart of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Cross River State.

He is a fine gentleman and a fellow of honesty, transparency and accountability. He hails from Boki local government area in Cross River State. He was born on 11th April, 1967 in Bawop community in Boki Local Government area of Cross River State.

He began his early education at Army Children School, Obinze, Owerri, Imo State from 1976-1982; and proceeded to Holy Ghost College, Owerri, Imo State from 1982-1985 respectively.

Thereafter, to satisfy his academic pursuit craving, he enrolled at Secondary Commercial School, Kakwagom, Boki, from 1985-1988 and obtained his Senior Secondary Certificate at the famous Mary Knoll College, Okuku Ogoja in 1989.

Thereafter, he enrolled at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, from 1991-1997 and Imo State University, Owerri 2002-2004.

He was appointed Personal Assistant to the Chairman of Boki local government council in 1996. He served in various capacities at various times as Secretary, Management Committee, Nsadop Oil Palm Estate, Boki Local Government Area 1999-2000; and Supervisor for Agriculture, Environment and Tourism, 2000-2002.

As a man with sterling qualities, he has served three Senate Presidents-Ken Nnamani, David Mark and Bukola Saraki as Special Assistant, and Legislative officer respectively.

Within this period, he was able to garner experience both locally and internationally on the workings of the parliamentary system.
Hon. Victor, an employment friendly personality, used his position while serving the number three citizens in Nigeria at various stages to facilitate massive job employment for his people.

Today, his good name is in the lips of all those who share close and far relationship with him. His job placement include: Federal Civil Service, para-military, oil and gas, banking, military, Stock Exchange, Engineering and lots more. He is Mr Empowerment of the youths.

Interestingly, during his service in the National Assembly, he attended workshops in Nigeria and abroad which include: International Leadership and Management Summit, Cape Town, South Africa in September 2008 and the Advanced Management course for Senior Management staff.

Due to his dynamic leadership style,  Hon. Abang served as member, National Assembly Legislative Aids Training Committee 2007-2015 and member Committee for the Screening and Verification for Payment of Legislative Aides Severance Allowance 2007, 2011 and 2015.

After resigning from the National Assembly, he was immediately appointed as the Chief of Staff to Niger Delta Development Commission's (NDDC) Chairman in 2016, a position he holds till date.

As the race for the Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency thickens, the moment has come for the golden fleece of nature to shine. It now beholves on the good people of Ikom/Boki to make a good choice by electing Mr Empowerment, because he has the capacity, ability, wisdom, experience, charisma and the courage to give his constituents an effective representation. His Reality Campaign Network structure have been designed to embrace his numerous supporters in Ikom/Boki.

Hon Abang is a member of many associations and professional bodies which include, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) and Knght of St John International (KSJI).
