People call it a death trap, Motorists hiss when they reach it and heave a sigh of relieve whenever they cross it. It begs for attention yet it seems no one is willing to come to its aid. Not even the Government.
The state of the Kakwagom bridge is best described as a death trap as its state is deteriorating by the day and even pedestrian have a challenge crossing it due to the bad state.
The Kakwagom Bridge is Ancient, Weak, and above all is a death threat to motorists. As the planks are almost entirely displaced. The old iron bounds placed over 50 years ago is almost the only support of the bridge.
I personally paid a visit to the Bridge, and believe me, it is indeed an eye-sore! Kakwagom is a major community in Boki and one wonders why in the whole wide world will the community’s bridge be in such a bad shape.
The importance of the Kakwagom Bridge can never be over-emphasized as it serves as a major node in connecting Kakwagom, Oku-Aro and Bawop to the rest of Boki, the only other way to get to these communities is through Oku-Bushuyu.
This place demands urgent attention.
