Cross Riverians in the Diaspora (CRID), has elected a new executive council. At the end of a friendly-contested vote in an online poll, Mr. Christopher Lekan (USA) emerged President and Mrs Patience Oluwasetu (UK), Vice President.

CRID is an organization uniting Cross Riverians globally and mobilizing their technical expertise for the social, political, economic and cultural development of Cross River State.
According to our sources, the electoral committee chaired by Justin Udie, showed great experience and played a key role in ensuring free, transparent and credible online elections.
Other officials elected were; Secretary – Ignatius Oli (Germany), Assistant Secretary – Solomon Eko (Germany), Finance Officer – Paul Onah (USA), Public and Membership Relations Officer – Iseone Lawal (Germany), Project Coordinator – Augustine Obi (UK), Liaison Officer Europe – Otiko Tony Jp (UK), Liaison Officer North America – Olom Egana Basil-Uka (USA).
The official inauguration has been scheduled for June 10, 2023 at 7pm Nigeria time.
