The administration of Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade (CON) from its inception has always given priority to the health sector whereby today, all the 196 Wards of the state can boast of at least a well equipped and functioning primary health care facility that has been serving the various communities.
In ensuring that no community is left out of this giant stride, the state governor Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade (CON) has through the director general of the state primary health care development agency Deaconess Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong commissioned a newly built primary health care facility in Assiga community of Yakurr LGA to serve the community especially during emergency purposes.
Speaking on behalf of the state governor, Mrs Abasioffiong thanked Governor Ben Ayade and his dear wife Dr Linda Ayade for their outstanding achievements in the health sector and for giving cross riverians the easiest and closest source of health care services.
"As a state, we're blessed to have Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade as a governor. His administration has remained one of those that have paid maximum attention to the health sector, today all the 196 Wards in CRS has at least one health care facility that is up and ruining. Dr. Linda Ayade the wife of our amiable governor and our ebullient first lady cannot be left out especially with all her support not only to the health sector but through her immense contributions to its growth using her mediatrix foundation.
Today the good people of Assiga can boast of a new primary health care facility courtesy of Governor Ben Ayade's administration, this amongst many other achievements should be the many basis/reasons why we all have to queue behind Sen. Prince Otu during the forthcoming elections for continuity and sustainability of the legacies and achievements of Governor Ayade. As a fellow woman and a strong party member, I'll also call on you all to support Rev. Mrs Mercy Akpama for the house of Assembly position.
His Excellency has instructed me to inform you that this PHC will be well equipped and that many more infrastructures and government projects will be brought to the good people of Yakurr. We saw your strength during the presidential, senate and house of representative elections and as a party, we're rest assured that you'll reciprocate the same political strength come March 18th."
Mrs Abasioffiong expressed her joy and gratitude to the people of Assiga for the lofty gesture lauded her and her team, she encouraged the traditional leaders, women group, youth group and the entire community to access the Health facility whenever the need arises as health interventions will be readily available for their consumption as well as free Medical outreach scheduled for next week thursday the 16th day of March, 2023 to encourage full utilization of the facility.
Highlights of the event was the official commissioning of the PHC facility by the DG CRSPHCDA Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong, inspection of the different units of the Health facility, goodwill messages from the youths, the women and the traditional rulers of Assiga, welcome song rendered by the health workers etc.
