In a form of celebration and as a carnival for the People's Democratic Party (PDP), The Chapter chairman, Mr. Fabian Okwajie hosted the elected executives of the party, Ward excos across the eleven political wards in Boki Local Government Area.
The inaugural meeting which was held on Saturday August 1, 2020 saw many Boki sons and daughters of the PDP family in attendance at Buanchor Community.
The meeting according to the Chairman is themed “Actualizing The Peace Agenda”, witnessed the presence of the participation and attendance of key stakeholders in identifying failure factors that may likely impede the actualization of the The Peace Agenda and tackle them appropriately to ensure fruition and efficient impacts.
The meeting as expected, recorded critical deliberations and discourses on the strategies, prospects, and challenges encountered in achieving success in the afore-envisioned Peace Agenda in the PDP family.
The meeting also focused on interrogating strategies and prospects thereby facilitating interactions among stakeholders, with a view to generate new ideas that will help strengthen PDP family and the entire Boki Nation. Discusses and deliberations at the inaugural meeting highlighted the issues surrounding optimum corporation among party members, peace advancements, challenges among others things as well as the absorptive capacity of the party.
Most importantly, the chairman encouraged peace among members in the forthcoming PDP State Congress.
Notable dignitaries in attendance were; Hon. Ewa Abang former Chairman of Boki local government council, Hon. Tony Edako, Hon. James Achu, Hon. Christian Ncha among others.
Two separate statement credited to Hon. Ewa Abang and Hon. Tony Edako, said the PDP family needs peace in order to move forward. the statements reads; “For us to progress as a party, we must first return to the path of peace that we have been known for, more confusion will still hit us as a party till it goes into oblivion if we do not embrace peace as a party.
“Definitely , we must strive to work together for us to achieve the peace we crave for." We won't wish matters should be made worse with before we seek peace. Peace should be our watchword, now and beyond”
