Dr. Godwin Amanke Inaugurates SUBEB Members, Urged Members To Double Efforts

The Cross River State Honourable Commissioner For Quality Education, Dr. Godwin Amanke, has inaugurated the Executive Chairman and Board Members of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

The inauguration was held at the Commissioner's Office, Today, Tuesday May 19, 2020, in attendance were; The Permanent Secretary, MOE; Boards Members, SUBEB; Director's; MOE Staff and Distinguished personalities.

The Member's inaugurated by the Cross river State Commissioner, Ministry of Education are; Dr. Barr. Stephen Odey (Chairman), Mr. Cyril Etta (Board Secretary), Mrs. Nancy Obaji Awukam (Board Member 1), Mr. Inyang Nyong Okon (Board Member 2), Juliana Nkpe-Bisong (Board Member 3).

The Commissioner, expressed his full satisfactory to the member's as reappointed by the state Governor, charged them to double efforts.  

Dr. Amanke speaking, “Ladies and Gentlemen, the team we have before us are member's with extra capacity. “The Chairman knows his job and his role's sequence to the board member's. So, there is no need to outline the board function's as you all are reappointed.”

“I wish you well on the discharge of your duty. “I know you are going to double your efforts and you are going to make us proud as a State and in Nigeria”. 

Responding to the commissioners remark on behalf of the board member's, the Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Dr. Barr. Stephen Odey, 

According to his profound delight, “My dear honourable commissioner. Let me first of all used this opportunity to thank the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Senator Professor Ben Ayade, who deem it necessary to reappoint all of us here back today”. 

Speaking further, “History has been made not just in Cross river state but in the entire country. “This is the first time the Governor will reappoint management staff's of SUBEB and at the same time bring back all the Board member's. “Honourable commissioner we thank you for that singular act, convey our appreciation and gratitude to the His Excellency the Governor”.

The Chairman, lengthy assured crossriverians on his team capacity to deliver adept on their assigned duty. 

In his words: “Let me also used this opportunity to thank all of you, for the understanding you have demonstrated all along.
 “We wants to assure you that this second missionary journey will be another page entirely because, we are very convinced that Cross river state deserves the best and on behalf of the board and management of SUBEB. “I want to assure you that we are going to put in our best, so that at the end of the day crossriverians and our school children will be happy. Thank you very much, thanks for this privilege Sir”, Odey gratified.
