Boki PDP Youth Vanguard Condemn Factional Meeting In Calabar, Says It's Unconstitutional

The Boki PDP Youth Vanguard, has written to condemn meeting of Party members held at the residence of the Commissioner for Works, Hon. Dane Osim Asu.

In a statement signed by the publicity Secretary, Prince Tawo Agbor, maintained that it is unconstitutional for a meeting of the party to be held without the prior notice of the leadership of the party. 

The statement reads...

“Our attention has been drawn to a meeting held in Calabar at Hon. Dane Osim Asu's (Hon. Commissioner for works) house, "yesterday 27th May, 2020". Without recourse to the leadership of Boki PDP Chapter”. 

“In line with the party procedures, the leadership of the party has said: "it is unconstitutional for a meeting of the party to be held without the prior notice of the leadership of the party", we in the PDP Youths Vanguard  condemn such act in totality”.

“The Honourable Commissioner for works who recently assured PDP family of Boki, of the importance of unity has unfortunately "acted against his own words".

“Accordingly, the Youths Vanguard  is saying without equivocation that we are committed to deliver all our candidates in the forthcoming LGA Elections under the leadership of Mr. Fabian Okwajie as Chapter Chairman. It should be noted that factional meetings in PDP will lead to further disunity within the party”.

“That unhealthy for us as a party because we must deliver our candidates in real solidarity, and that should be our focus for now”. 

“We are also engaging every youth on a common goal which is to win the elections trumphantly. It's unfortunate that such occurrence should be happening, at a time we were suppose to be building grounds ahead of the local councils elections, and the general election in 2023”.

“We will engage stakeholders in peaceful negotiations, and ensure we resolve this show of shame, to avoid future possible reoccurrence”.

“As one of the largest LGA in the state, it behold on us to lead by example, and defend the dignity of our people”.

”Boki PDP is one indivisible family, and will always remain as one.”
