A Rural Electrification project is currently ongoing to provide electricity for Kakwagom, Bawop, Oku-aroh and Oku-bwanankong Communities in Boki local government area of Cross River State.
The project has been said to have been facilitated by Sir Victor Abang 'Mature' the APC candidate for Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency in 2019 Elections.
According to a Facebook update by George Odok, a senior NAN Correspondent says; "the project was initiated during his glorious period in NDDC. The project is meant to provide sustainable power to the benefitting communities when energised to the grid".
It also reads that "This will directly improve the living standard of the communities, enhance their economy and foster development through the promotion of micro businesses".
