Today the All Progressives Congress members of Oku-Borum-Njua Ward  met with Mrs. Bukie Okangbe at Borum today for Her end of year get-together.

The event featured many activities including presentation of gift (wrappers and footwears to women), and envelopes with undisclosed content to men.

As part of activities to mark the Christmas celebration, Ms Bukie Okangbe; a staunch supporter of Senator John Owan Enoh representing Cross River Central in the National Assembly, has distributed wrappers, foot wears and cash gifts at Oku-Borum-Njua Ward of Boki local government area.

Mrs. Okangbe said that the gesture was primarily aimed at putting smiles on the faces of her constituents who she said were predominantly petty traders and peasant farmers.

She further said that although the current economic situation is harsh, there was still need to give as Christmas was a season for giving.

The ardent believer in Owanification used the opportunity to call on wealthy indigenes of Cross River Central and all Cross Riverians to bring some of their wealth home and invest in their people.

She reiterated that the poverty level in the State will alleviate tremendously if all wealthy Cross Riverians invest at least 10 per cent of their wealth in their home towns.
