The Kakwagom Ekumba-Obumotang road just before the bridge has been graded. The road which before now was in a very bad condition has been put in a manageable condition. Also, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is currently carrying out a re-electrification project in Ekumba Kakwagom.
The Project is however greeted with scepticism as there is no way this communities will be electrified when none of the border communities has had light for more than a year now.
Popular opinion is that the project should be termed ‘Re-polling’ if there is any such word. As there is no possibility of Kakwagom being Electrified when neither Okundi nor Nduk has Light.
In another news, some of the Electric poles brought are in bad shape as will be shown in a photo below.
