The Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) of the World Bank, Climate and Sustainable Development Network of Nigeria (CSDevNet) and REDD+ have trained Communities in Boki local government area of Cross River State on Capacity Building and Alternative Livelihood.
The Training which held at the Buanchor Civic Center, in Boki 1 Constituency of Boki Local Government had Wula, Buanchor, Olum, Kanyang and Ochequen Communities benefiting from the training.
CSDevNet which Believe Local Knowledge remain the driver of sustainable land and forest management, carried out this training to educate Boki People on the need for climate and sustainable development as well as wildlife conservation.
REDD+ stands for countries' efforts to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, and foster conservation, sustainable management of forests, and enhancement of forest carbon stocks.
