Could this be true?

Reports from unknown sources has it that the JOEDY memorial hospital in Okundi has been allegedly given out as a second branch of Catholic Maternity Hospital, Moniaya road in Ogoja as renovation is currently in place.

JOEDY Memorial Hospital was established in 1998 by M.T. Mbu, a Nigerian diplomat who helped the country gain its independence over 54 years ago. M.T. Mbu and his wife created JOEDY Memorial Hospital in honor of their deceased sons, John and Edward.

Though specializing in Maternity, JOEDY provides most health services and never turns anyone away, regardless of their inability to pay. Free healthcare in Nigeria is almost unheard of, and medical insurance is basically nonexistant. M.T. Mbu wanted to make a difference. He sourced the best medical equipment from overseas, helping the hospital not only be the pride of the community, but one of the most updated hospitals in the entire state.

Unfortunately over 15 years later, the equipment is now outdated, damaged, or barely functioning, leaving the hospital in a dire state and its patients lacking proper medical care.

Counting back, Joe Mbu a Grand son of late M.T Mbu tried so hard to bring JOEDY Hospital back into the institution of pride that his Grandfather created over 15 years ago. Upon all this, JOEDY hospital might be going.

The news of selling JOEDY memorial hospital may not be false after all. Catholic Maternity Hospital is a secondary health facility that treats range of health issues such as obstetrics, gynaecology, pediatric and general cases. It's still good news for the Boki Nation.
