Conversationist have condemned the killing and eating of swallows by Boki people in Enyi Village of Boje.

Following the update of Pier Mihalovic, he said; In the village of Ebbaken Boje, cross River State Nigeria, until 1995 every winter something like 200,000 Barn swallows were killed for food .

From 1996 to 2009 the massacre has been stopped, but from 2010 to 2018, we remember three season where thousand of swallows  has been killed always from the Eyni village and always for the burnt of the main roost situated in Ebbaken hill covered from Elephant grass, let’s just remember the massacre of April 2010, February 2012 and February 2015.

Unfortunately on those days the dramatic killing is happening again in Eyni are killing thousand of swallows  ! 3 swallows are sold for 50 naira (12 euro  cents)

Liza Gadsby, A Co-founder at Pandrilus expressed disappointment in the act as she adviced conservationist to work with powers that be to put a policy of protection in for the migratory swallows.  

Mr. Mark Otu, a conversationist in Boki also condemned the act "My Boki people are back eating swallows again after this much effort in conservation? O, pity, pity. Where are the local guys that were trained by Pier? I challenge them to rise up and keep the candle of conservation aglow in the area". He said.
