Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Boki led by Hon. Maxwell Etta, decamped to the People's Democratic Party today 29th December, 2018 in Okundi.
The decampees claimed that they had left the People's Democratic Party earlier to join the All Progressives Congress because it seemed that the party was on the right path but they were rather greeted with shock and they were left with no other option than to return to their first love, the People's Democratic Party.
The event was well attended with ranging from the party's state officials to traditional rulers in Boki. Notable guests were; Hon. Hillary Bisong, Member representing Boki II in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Chief. Joseph Obi Bisong, SSA to the Governor and DG of the Caterpillar Movement, The state women leader who was represented by Barr. Anok A. Anok.
Speaking on the event Hon. Hillary Bisong encourage the decampees to hit the ground running as there is limited time between now and the elections. He also praised them, referring to them as wise for having come at a time like this, a time he described as planting season.
