Boki Communities participate in WASH Clinic

To sustain Open Defecation Free (ODF) status of some communities in Cross River State, a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Clinic was held for representatives of 11 wards in Boki Local Government of the state.

Boki WASH Consultant, Mr. Samuel Attah, who said the programme had yielded positive behaviour among the locals, explained that constant littering of the environment with faeces had reduced drastically with the help of WASH voluntary taskforce in 11 wards.

Similarly, when Boki LG marked World Toilet Day, with the theme, ‘When Nature Calls,’ the State Coordinator of Tulsi Chanrai Foundation (TCF), Donald Uzege urged communities to raise fund to maintain water facilities, by collecting water user fees every month from each household.

Head, Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Edet Arigor urged communities yet to attain ODF to work hard towards achieving it.
