The leading and frontline aspirant for the Cross River State House of Assembly Boki 1 State Constituency Hon. Bette-Obi told the Eastern Boki Assembly that he is in the race because of the interest of the constituents not for personal interest. Bette-Obi who enumerated what he has attracted to Eastern Boki said if given the Assembly mandate, he will use his superior contacts, connections and his relationship with Government to do more.
Earlier, the Chief Convener of the Assembly and Paramount ruler of Boki Politics, Hon. Chief Abubabar Ewa Stated that Assembly Member should not be given to people who will go there and answer "YES SIR" to their colleagues but people who have the financial muscles and Capacity and that is in the Person of Hon. Bette Obi the man with a deep fat pocket.
Bette-Obi who is generally accepted have started receiving aspirants who are already stepping down for him in numbers.
Hon. Bette-Obi who have over the years held several positions and have built strong relationships with friends across the State will do nothing less.
OBI, a one time Party Youth Leader in the Chapter level, Liaison officer at National Assembly BOKI/Ikom Federal Constituency,Two times Special Adviser to BOKI Local Government Area in different Administrations, Immediate past Chairman of PDP in Boki Chapter and the man who made Chapter Chairmanship an office to identify with. Currently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Cross River State Forestry Commission who have traveled to a number of Countries Building International relationships.
