Cocoa Association of Nigeria, Cross River State Chapter has on Friday endorsed the State Governor, Senator Professor Ben Ayade with a huge sum of twenty million Naira (N20,000,000) to buy the 2019 Governorship nomination form.
The association presented the cheque from Fidelity Bank Plc to Ayade at the Ikom Township stadium during the Cross River State Central Senatorial District endorsement.
Ayade, out of excitement lauded the association, thanking them for their kind gesture. The Governor could not withstand the joy than to put on a dancing step in celebration of the glorious moment.
Speaking when presenting the cheque, the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Fyana Riman said, this is to show their support to the Governor for rejuvenating the State’s cocoa industry as well as building a Cocoa Processing Factory in the state.
“Because you’re the only value addition Governor of Nigeria, the only Digital Governor of Nigeria, I stand on behalf of the Cocoa Association of Nigeria and the World Cocoa Producers Organisation to present a check of N20 million for You to buy a nomination form for the 2019 Gubernatorial post”, Riman said.
